YOUR CONSULTANT SURVEYORS • YOUR INDEPENDENT SPECIALISTS
We serve the Southern Counties from a Main Office Base in the Central
Solent Region. Our work takes us from the West Country to Sussex.
Tombleson Associates is a multi-disciplinary Practice with a focus on the “land” professions. The Principal, Paul Tombleson, heads a team of professional associates who are consultants in their own rights, with different (but overlapping) specialisms. Together we seek to provide a service of high merit: in this way some clients specifically retain our services, while others return as necessary when need arises.
Paul Tombleson is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and also has a Masters Degree in the field of Historic Building Conservation. After many years in the building industry Paul moved into the professional survey role, in particular the investigation of defects in built structures. All members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors are required to pursue a programme of continuing professional development, in the course of which Paul now holds numerous ancillary qualifications, including CITB Certification in Site Management, Certification in Residential Valuation Procedures and Diplomas in specialised topics including Energy Performance in built structures and Lime Technology as applied to the repair and protection of Historic Buildings.
Tom Flower joined Tombleson Associates Ltd. in 2011 following extensive experience in Surveying both on and off the Isle of Wight. Following his Degree, Tom gained a significant amount of construction experience over several years which included undertaking structural repairs to residential buildings and maintenance of various English Heritage properties. During this period, Tom studied and qualified as a Building Surveyor. This led to over five years experience surveying the Energy Performance of residential and commercial property. Now, as an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Tom enjoys assisting Clients and Surveying a variety of property across the Southern Counties of England.
Professional Fees, Some General Guidance
The fees in respect of our work are sometimes based upon standard scales at very competitive rates, when the type and scope of work is not only routine, but can be confidently assessed in advance. Where it is not possible to assess in advance the amount of work which may be involved (for example for negotiation or research assignments, Planning Appeals, etc), fees are based upon an hourly rate agreed with clients in advance. Clients can impose time and cost limits to establish a point at which further instructions must be verified before proceeding.
In every case, fee arrangements are agreed in advance, together with each clients’ special instructions. Please do not hesitate to contact us on the question of fees: the question of cost is a topic which all potential clients will want to consider at the outset. We aim to give excellent value in every case.
Working together Paul Tombleson & Tom Flower cover the whole South of England Region from the Solent area including the New Forest, Winchester, Southampton, Southsea, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight to West & East Sussex.
